Apple Mighty Mouse

The doorbell went and it was the postman delivering my new Mighty Mouse . I had a go with one in the Apple Store, London Regents St, and that place was a total nightmare – but that’s another story. The Mighty Mouse is not just a mouse, it’s a trackpad as well. So that means you can stroke the top of the mouse and perform scrolling operations, instead of a wheel or having to click on scroll bars at the edge of windows.

To get the most out of it, I needed to install Snow Leopard or Max OS X – 10.6.4 which took nearly 45 minutes and hasn’t seemed to have dome much so far except for install a new version of QuickTime (X) which doesn’t do copy and paste. Ok the answer to that one is that they ship Quicktime 7 pro with it, so now I have two versions of quicktime on my dock…

I’ll let you know how I get on with the new mouse and Mac OS later.
